Saturn & Muscle
According to Astrology Saturn is associated with Muscles and old age. One has to appease Saturn by following mantra, walking barefoot, practicing Karma Yoga and engaging in charitable activities. Wearing black color clothes or donating black color clothes will pacify Saturn
“ OM SANAISCHARYA VIDHAMHE, SOORYAPUTRYA DHIMAHI, TANNO MANDA PRACHODAYAT”
Lord Krishna
Your body is a gift from God not your own property. So you have to surrender your action (in this case your anaerobic activity) to Lord Krishna. Take Krishna as “I have no body in my life but only you Krishna” –then He is also for you, everything. This Krishna Mantra is equal to 700 shlokas in BG
“ KRISHNAYA VASUDEVAYA
HARAYE PARAMATHMANE
PRANATAHA KLESHANASAYA
GOVINDAYA NAMONAMAHA”
Mantras must be chanted with unwavering devotion and motivation. Chanting them as a matter of course is practically useless.
Exercise Science:
· Regarding Muscles, we have type 2X muscle fibers which are only used with high intensity exercises.
· Type 2X Muscle fibers tend to decline as we age ( from 30s)
· If you are also not recruiting your Type 2X Muscle fibers then you will eventually lose them
· “Sarcopenia” tends to affect first Type 2X Muscle fibers.
Just like your Car only run on Petrol the Human Body runs on only one kind of energy. This chemical energy is called ATP
If you start doing High Intensity Exercise (Sprint, Box Jumps, Burpees etc) which are faster than your body can get oxygen to your muscles and tissues, body gets ATP from Phosphagen Energy system-ATP-PC system. It uses Phosphocreatine ( PC) or High energy Phosphate. ATP-PC system allows for up to 30 seconds of maximum effort. Once that’s depleted glycolytic system kicks in which uses energy in Glucose to form ATP. The glycolytic system can supply ATP for about 3 minutes. That is why you can only do sprint only for few seconds or at best a couple of minutes.
High intensity work outs can take a toll. So it is important to take rest days.
Also follow this below sloka ( from Ayurveda)
“ ARTHA SHAKTA NISHYEVYASTHU
BALINA SNIGDHA BHOGINA “
It means you should not do intense exercise more than 50% of your Total Capacity. The Total Capacity depends on your body type , daily fluctuation of your energy, etc. For instance if you have power to sprint 200 m in one stretch, you should feel like sprint only 100 m at one time.
In short, high intensity work outs ( Sprint for example ) are anaerobic exercises. They can strengthen your bones and potentially reduce your chances of developing osteoporosis. It can also elevate your levels of HDL -*(good cholesterol)
