EFFECTIVENESS IN MARKETING

What the product you deal with is important. And the asset (I mean the Producer/Factory/Company) that producing the product is also important.If you deal with certain products or companies it will be like dog-eat-dog business

If you look only at the product and neglects the asset producing it, you will be devastating at the end.

If you look only at the asset producing the product with no aim towards what your product is, you won’t have the wherewithal to feed yourself. You should know the value of your product. Then only you can transmit that value to your customer for exchange (for money/business)

In analogy between a product and an asset, if “egg” is the product, “goose” is the factory. Suppose goose is giving egg to an egg seller daily. He came to know it is “golden egg” after sometime and then he keeps on concentrating on golden eggs neglecting goose. He killed the goose thinking if he opens the goose stomach, he can take all the golden eggs. But when he opened the goose stomach he realized there are no golden eggs and now there is no way to get any more.

The bottom line is, if you think if you produce more and more, you will become more effective: That is wrong. It is not accordance with the fact. The true effectiveness depends on two things: Golden egg (production) and Goose (production capability). We should have a paradigm giving importance to both.
